EtherCAT Platform

EtherCAT (Ethernet for Control Automation Technology) is an Ethernet-based fieldbus system standardized in IEC 61158. EtherCAT applies Ethernet to automation applications requiring short data update times with low communication jitter and reduced hardware costs.

EcPlatform implements the EtherCAT master protocol to communicate with EtherCAT slave devices. Master functions of EcPlatform include DC, Hotconnect, CoE, EoE, FoE, etc.
