Supported PC Hardware
To operate WMX3, a PC with the following specifications is required.
CPU
Requirement
Performance : A CPU with performance of at least the Atom E3845 (2GHz) is required.
Number of cores : Since it is necessary to assign a dedicated CPU core to RTX, a minimum of 2 cores (excluding Hyper-Threading virtual cores) is required.
Generation : Each version of RTX supports specific CPU generations. Select the CPU based on the compatibility information below. CPUs that are not listed in the compatibility information are not supported at that time.
For additional information, please refer to the following technical note of IntervalZero (the developer of RTX).

Performance : Assigning a CPU with a higher basic processor frequency to RTX will allow more axes to be controlled, and/or the communication cycle time to be reduced.
Number of cores : Four or more cores are recommended. In an environment with a 2-core CPU allocated one core each for RTX and Windows, there are cases where basic system processing uses much of the CPU resources. In this case, Windows UI operations and WMX3 engine startup may become very slow. Conversely, note that if you have too many cores, you may have to set unused cores as described in RTX Configuration 1 - Basic Setup.
Important: In systems with Efficient-cores and Performance-cores, it is highly desirable to have at least 4 Performance-cores to meet the recommendations. This is because both RTX cores and Windows cores must be assigned to Performance-cores only. Please refer to RTX Configuration 3 - Essential System Tunings” for more information.
Generation : Intel 2nd gen or later, Corei3, Corei5, Corei7 are recommended.
Memory (RAM)
Requirement
2GB or more is required.
4GB or more is recommended.
