Software Touch Probe

The software touch probe function stores the position of an axis when an input signal is set. The precision of the latched position depends on the communication period, and is usually lower than the precision of hardware touch probes.

The following example shows the difference between each “logic” and “mode” option when using software touch probes. “Read Touch Probe Data” refers to the timing that the latched position is read using the GetSoftwareTouchProbeCounterValue function.
