Overview
In synchronization control, a master axis and a slave axis are specified. When synchronization control is started, the current command position of the slave axis is synchronized to the current command position of the master axis. Any subsequent changes to the master axis command position also changes the slave axis command position by an equal amount.
Any number of slave axes can have the same master axis. A master axis cannot be the slave axis of a different master axis. A slave axis cannot be commanded by motion commands.
When the function to start sync control returns (with no error), sync control has been already established. The master axis can be immediately moved, and the slave axis will follow.
Sync control can be started with the following function.
Sync control can be stopped with the following function. A sync phase offset or a sync gear ratio can be applied to a sync slave axis with the following functions. Sync can be resolved while the master and slave axes are in motion using the following function. Combine sync, which commands a slave axis with two master axes, can be started with the following function.
