Acceleration Reset

If an override motion command is executed while the axis is accelerating or decelerating, the acceleration will be reset to 0 for most profile types.

The following plots show the position, velocity, and acceleration when the override is executed while the axis is accelerating. The profile type is SCurve.

Acceleration for TrapezoidalMAT Profile

The TrapezoidalMAT profile type preserves the acceleration when an override is executed. The following plots show the position, velocity, and acceleration when an override is executed with the TrapezoidalMAT profile type. The moving average time is set to 1 second.

The TrapezoidalMAT profile type should be used if an override may occur while the axis is accelerating or decelerating, and a large jerk is undesirable.
