What is Homing

A home operation is required to align the axis coordinates to the physical machine. A home operation is typically started by calling the StartHome function.

After a home operation successfully completes, the axis coordinates are shifted so that the position is 0 at the detected home position.

The Home Type parameter determines the homing procedure that is executed during a home operation. The following page contains an explanation of home types.
