Edge Dropoff
The Edge Dropoff Distance specifies the distance beyond the first and last pitch points over which the offset reduces to 0. The offset gradually decreases to 0 over this distance in the negative direction of the first pitch point and the postive direction of the last pitch point.
An example of the offsets when the Edge Dropoff Distance is set to 2000 is shown below. The first pitch point is at position 0 and the last pitch point is at position 3000.

If the Edge Dropoff Distance is set to 0, the offsets will not reduce to 0 at the edges.
An example of the offsets when the Edge Dropoff Distance is set to 0 is shown below. The same pitch points as the above example are used.
