Edge Dropoff

The Edge Dropoff Distance specifies the distance beyond the area where pitch points are defined over which the offset reduces to 0. This distance is defined separately for each reference axis.

An example of the offsets when the Edge Dropoff Distance is set to 2000 for both reference axes is shown below. The area where pitch points are defined is 0 to 2000 for both reference axes.

If the Edge Dropoff Distance is set to 0, the offsets will not reduce to 0 at the edges.

An example of the offsets when the Edge Dropoff Distance is set to 0 for both reference axes is shown below. The same pitch points as the above example are used.
